What gave you the courage to study in Ireland?

I've always worked for large corporations.

After many years of hard work, I retired at 47, thinking I could finally enjoy a carefree life and travel. But things didn't go as planned; the pandemic hit, and I was stuck in the country for two years. During that time, I was asked to go back to work and did it for another year. I'm 49 now, and I want to do something different before I turn 50. Since coming here, I'm also thinking of pursuing an MBA to fulfill my dream.

How are you doing in Ireland?

On the fifth day after I arrived, I had nothing to do, so I applied for 7 jobs, and 6 of them wanted to hire me.

There are bubble tea shops, boutiques, dental clinic receptionists, Asia tour operators, takeaway restaurants, and more... Finding a job isn't difficult at all.
As for life, with a job, you have nothing to fear.
Life is short; you waste it by just walking and thinking.
Stop overthinking, just do it!

Are you worried that you, at your age, might not adapt well to life abroad?

Not at all, my life is always on the go.

I heard you have two children studying at university in Ireland?

Yes. I sent both my children to university in Ireland because I think it's a great place for them to learn and grow .

Do you have any advice for those who are still hesitant or have reservations?

For those still hesitant, I think their biggest concern is whether the work and living environment will suit them. On my fifth day after arriving, having nothing to do, I applied for seven jobs.
